Harshal Says Batters Could Have Attacked Selectively vs CSK: Punjab Kings bowler Harshal Patel says that the batters could have selectively hit those balls against CSK. The pacer was talking in the post-match presentation after Punjab lost to CSK for 28 runs.
Against a winnable total (167/9) that was put forth by the Chennai franchise, Punjab batters terribly fell down at 139 runs, losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Harshal Says Batters Could Have Attacked Selectively vs CSK
Harshal thinks the Punjab batters should have chosen which bowlers to target for big hits.
“Even with that opening spell (by Tushar Deshpande), we were still in the game when Prabh and Shashank were batting. We had two early jolts, but at the same time, the way Shashank and Prabh recovered from that situation in the powerplay, we were quite settled at that point. If we had made a few better choices in terms of which bowlers to target, we would have probably been closer to the game,” Harshal said.
CSK Climbs Back to the Top 4
With the win, the Chennai Super Kings climb back to the top four with 12 points from 11 games. Punjab, on the other hand, could only accumulate 8 points from the same number of games and are 8th on the table.
CSK will visit the hosts, the Gujarat Giants, in Ahmedabad on May 10. PBKS, on the other hand, will host Virat Kohli’s RCB at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on May 9.
