Harry Kane Comments On Bayern Munich Win: Bayern Munich got off to a difficult yet positive start to the 2024-25 Bundesliga season as the Bavarians defeated Wolfsburg 3-2. Star striker Harry Kane has not commented on the victory.
After 11 consecutive league titles, Bayern failed to win the league last season, succumbing to a generational Bayer Leverkusen side that won the team’s first Bundesliga title. This title loss stung doubly because it was Harry Kane’s first season at the club.
Kane is one of, if not the best striker in world football. Despite that, he has not won a single major trophy in his career, having spent most of his career at Tottenham Hotspur and playing for England internationally, both teams infamous for not winning any major titles in a long time.

Bayern got off to an attacking start to the game, which resulted in a goal by starboy Jamal Musiala in the 19th minute. But in the second half, it was Die Wolfe who won a penalty and scored a goal right after the break. Soon after, the team in the bright-green outfit scored once more, putting the 33-time league champions in peril.
Bayern scored via an own goal minutes later as the match went down the wire. In the 82nd minute, Kane displayed some fantastic skill, beating his man before sliding the ball in the path of Serge Gnabry, who scored the winner.
Despite winning the match and getting all three points, it was not a convincing win for the title contenders against a side that finished in the bottom half of the table last season.
Speaking of last season, while Bayern Munchen might not have won either the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal, the DFL-Supercup, or the UEFA Champions League, the 30-year-old Englishman had a fantastic season, scoring 36 goals in the league and scoring 44 goals while assisting 12 in 45 games across all competitions.
Harry Kane Comments On Bayern Munich Win
Coming from the position of being the best player on the team and a team leader, Harry Kane did not seem too happy with his side’s performance. Taking to Instagram following Munich’s win, he posted a picture with his team and had this to say in the caption,
“Up and down game but most importantly we came out on top! Lots to work on but can’t ask for more than starting the season with a win.”
Bayern Munich are among the top two favourites to win the league this season alongside defending champions Leverkusen. And while they have made some solid signings this transfer window, this opening performance against Wolfsburg shows they are in for another tough and gruelling season.
