Haris Rauf Takes Stunning Catch 3rd PAK Vs NZ T20I: Pace bowler Haris Rauf has taken a stunning catch in the ongoing third New Zealand vs Pakistan T20I to dismiss opener Finn Allen for a duck.
Pakistan is currently facing the Kiwis in the third of five T20Is in New Zealand. So far, the hosts have demolished the Men in Green in the two T20Is already played. This match might as well be the series decider.
However, Pakistan came into this game to keep the series alive, this was displayed in the effort they put in fielding. In only the first over of the match, after the visitors won the toss and decided to bowl first, bowler Shaheen Afridi bowled a ball to New Zealand opener Finn Allen right at his feet, who flicked the ball behind square.
The ball seemed to be going too fine for Haris Rauf standing at backwards square leg. However, Rauf dived, reached for the ball, and plucked it from the air to grab an absolutely stunning catch.

Not much did go well for the Pakistan bowlers from this point on. While wickets kept falling regularly, with in-form Tim Seifert getting out for 14, Daryl Mitchell for 17, and James Neesham for 3; No. 3 batter Mark Chapman stood firm at one hand and kept scoring quick runs.
By the time Chapman was dismissed was 94 of 44 in the 13th over, the team score was already 141/5. While the Black Caps did slow down from this point, a late flourish by captain Michael Bracewell (31 off 18) took New Zealand past the 200-run mark. At the end of the inning, the hosts were all out for 204.
Looking back at this inning, while Mark Chapman’s awesome inning is the thing people will remember this it for, Haris Rauf’s stunning catch was a greater piece of individual and momentary brilliance.
Salman Ali Agha’s men now have to chase a massive total of 205 if they are to win this third match of this New Zealand vs Pakistan series and keep their team’s hopes alive.
