Haris Rauf Attacks Fan: Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf was recorded attacking a fan after the fan called out the player with an offensive slur. The player was walking with his wife in the US after Pakistan’s journey in the T20 World Cup came to an end.
The fans and former players alike turned against the Pakistan cricket team after their humiliating run in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Many called them incompetent and accused them of playing against the country. Recently, tier coach Gary Kirsten has come out, revealing the lack of unity in the team.
“There’s no unity in Pakistan’s team. They call it a team, but it isn’t a team. They aren’t supporting each other; everyone is separated, left and right. I’ve worked with many teams, but I’ve never seen such a situation,” said Kirsten.
Pakistan started their World Cup journey by losing against the USA in the super overs. But the most hurtful one was the 6-run defeat to their arch-rivals, India. This put them in a very precarious position, as they wanted the USA to lose their final match against Ireland to qualify for the Super 8. As rain took the USA match, the hosts qualified by gaining a point, which opened the door for the Greens to go out.
