Harbhajan Singh Heaps Praise On Ravindra Jadeja: Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh lauded Ravindra Jadeja for his outstanding innings that may have helped India avoid a loss at Gabba. Jadeja scored an outstanding 77 runs that took India’s score beyond 250, helping the visitors to avoid the follow-on.
India were fumbling with their top-order batters, apart from KL Rahul, marching back to the pavilion sooner than expected.
KL Rahul (84/139) at the top and (77/123) in the middle became the backbone of the Indian innings.

Harbhajan Singh Heaps Praise On Ravindra Jadeja
Jadeja, who failed to find a place in the first and second Tests in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, was included in the squad, expecting his contributions with the ball. But the all-rounder had little to no success in that department but unleashed a spectacle with the bat. Harbhajan notes that.
“The expectations that were there with his bowling, he didn’t live up to them slightly. However, in batting, he did what the top-order batters couldn’t do. I will want to praise his mentality. His batting was terrific. A lot of runs were left to add when he came to bat,” Harhaja Singh said.
Harbhajan Singh also wondered why Jadeja doesn’t get a chance to bat higher up the order.
“The significance of these 77 runs is much more than that. Whenever I see him play, I always think why he doesn’t get to bat up the order. It is beyond my understanding. He played brilliantly and with responsibility. I feel the value of his innings is equal to a hundred,” Harbhajan observed.
