Guy Whitall’s wife, Hannah Stooks-Whittall, posted his injured photo on social media to give the update.
Hannah Stooks revealed that it is Whittall’s second escape from an animal attack, mentioning an earlier crocodile attack.
“He is extremely fortunate. First, he survived a crocodile attack. Now, he has escaped a leopard attack, thanks to Chikara’s timely intervention. Without Chikara’s help, the outcome could have been tragic.” Stooks-Whittall said to the Daily Mail.
Hannah also gave an update about the dog, saying that the rescuer is in better condition than Whittall.
“We are so grateful to him, and Chikara will get some extra chicken as a treat. He’s got a vet appointment because he has a few scratches, but he should be okay. He’s in better shape than Guy.” she added.
“Fortunately, Guy is awake in bed and talking,” she said, “He’s telling anyone who will listen how he wrestled with a leopard, but we all know it was actually Chikara who saved him.”
