GT vs SRH Match Highlights And Report-IPL: Gujarat Titans seamer Mohit Sharma is making a strong case for selection in India’s T20 World Cup team with his old-ball performances. That was further enforced by his brilliant show of 3/25 on a good surface in Ahmedabad against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Clinical bowling efforts from Mohit, Noor Ahmad, and Rashid Khan helped GT contain the marauding SRH batters to 162. GT chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand and 5 balls to spare.

SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first in the heat of Ahmedabad. Mayank Agarwal’s struggles continued; the right-hander scored 16 runs in 17 balls. But it was the big wicket of Travis Head that dented SRH right after the powerplay. Head cracked three fours early in his innings but runs dried for him in the second half of the powerplay. He went after Noor’s googly and was bowled.
Abhishek Sharma, who had blasted a 16-ball fifty in his previous innings, continued on that touch and slammed two fours and as many sixes, but was outdone by a slower ball from Mohit, who would also take two wickets in the last over of the innings.
Aiden Markram played a bizarre innings of 17 runs in 19 balls. That piled up more pressure on Heinrich Klaasen, who had smacked 24 runs in 12 balls already, but was forced to go after Rashid and saw his stumps messed up. Shahbaz Ahmed and Abdul Samad biffed some boundaries in the death overs in their partnership of 45 (28), but that still got SRH to 162, which was par for the surface.

The chase got a head-start as Wriddhiman Saha got off to a flier of 25 (13). That allowed captain Shubman Gill to take his time, but the opener couldn’t convert his 36 (28) into a big score.
Sai Sudharsan, the number 3, anchored GT’s innings for the third game in a row. After scores of 45 and 37 in his previous two knocks, the young left-hander scored 45 (36) today. While Sudharsan played largely risk-averse cricket, David Miller rolled on his way to 44* (27) with 4 fours and 2 sixes. The two left-handers forged a partnership of 64 (42) that sealed the game for Gujarat.
Score summary: Sunrisers Hyderabad 162/8 in 20 overs (Abdul Samad 29, Mohit Sharma 3/25); Gujarat Titans 168/3 in 19.1 overs (Sai Sudharsan 45, Pat Cummins 1/28). GT defeated SRH by 7 wickets.
