GT vs RCB Match Highlights And Report-IPL: A mind-blowing century from Will Jacks and a routine Virat Kohli half-century in a run-chase helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru remain alive in the IPL 2024 with a 9-wicket win over Gujarat Titans in the chase of 201 in Ahmedabad.
Jacks blasted a 41-ball ton, the fifth fastest in IPL history, and Kohli scored 70. At one point, fans were wondering whether Kohli would be able to get to his century, but Jack’s stunning assault meant he got to the three-figure score, and RCB reached the target with 4 overs to spare.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first. Left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh got Saha in the first over, chipping to short third-man, while GT skipper Shubman Gill managed only 16 runs, hitting Maxwell to long-on.
Sai Sudharsan continued his consistent form this season. He started steadily, and he was 19 (17) when Gill got out. The left-hander upped the tempo with a six and a four off Karn, and at the other end, Shahrukh Khan was aggressive, cracking Maxwell for the same result.
Karn conceded three more sixes from the pair as GT went past 100 in the 12th over. Shahrukh then launched Green for two fours and a six to bring up his maiden IPL fifty in 24 balls before being bowled by Siraj.
Sudharsan reached his fifty in 34 balls, and his shots started to flow even better, which included a hat-trick of fours to Green and a six to Siraj. Sudharsan ended with 84* (49) and David Miller with 26* (19), with GT finishing with exactly 200.

This was not a target to be intimidated by for RCB. Faf and Kohli took 15 runs from Sandeep Warrier before the RCB captain smashed Omarzai for 6, 6, 4. Du Plessis’ 24 (12) cameo was ended by Sai Kishore in the fourth over, but that was the last time any GT bowler celebrated in this game as Kohli and Jacks took the chase head-on.
Jacks took his time initially, scoring 16 runs in 16 balls, but found a perfect ally in Kohli, who batted with intent. Kohli walloped Kishore for two sixes as RCB ended the powerplay in a strong position at 74/1. He then collected a four each off Noor and Rashid, raising a 32-ball half-century, before Jacks got into the act with six and a four off Mohit Sharma.
With 78 required in 8 overs, Jacks got into his groove and there was no stopping the Englishman. A six each off Kishore and Noor, and 29 runs in a Mohit Sharma over effectively sealed the chase for RCB.
In the 16th over then, Jacks, who was on 72 (36), raced to 100 (41) by tearing into Rashid Khan with four sixes and a four! Rashid concluded with rare poor bowling figures of 0/51. That’s Will Jacks for you.
Score summary: Gujarat Titans 200/3 in 20 overs (Sai Sudharsan 84, Swapnil Singh 1/23); Royal Challengers Bengaluru 206/1 in 16 overs (Will Jacks 100, Sai Kishore 1/30). RCB defeated GT by 9 wickets.
