Gautam Gambhir Always Wanted to Beat RCB: Kolkata Knight Riders mentor Gautam Gambhir has already lit the fire ahead of their away match with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Gambhir was speaking to Star Sports before the much-hyped tie.
Gautam Gambhir Always Wanted to Beat RCB
Gambhir said that he always wanted to beat RCB, probably even in his dreams. The former LSG coach also expressed his hatred for RCB’s attitude. It all seems like Gambhir still has bad blood with RCB star Virat Kohli.
“One team which I always wanted to beat, probably even in my dreams, was RCB. They are the second most high-profile team and flamboyant franchise, with the owner and players like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers. They thought they had won everything. This was their attitude, and I can’t take that.
Gambhir also sent a dig at RCB, saying that KKR’s best 3 wins in the IPL are against RCB, even reminding them of their shambolic 49-all-out performance previously.
“The three best wins KKR had was against RCB. Brendon McCullum slammed RCB on the opening day of IPL in 2008, 49 all out RCB, 100 scored in powerplay overs against RCB with Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine going after the bowlers.
Gambhir expressed his never-ending desire to beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
“RCB were a solid team with players like Gayle, Virat, and AB de Villiers in the squad. One thing I would love to do again is beat RCB,” Gambhir added.
