Gambhir Says Samson Should Win Matches for India
Speaking on Sportskeeda, former Indian player Gautam Gambhir expects Samson to win games for India. The veteran believes Samson is not a ‘Newbie’ anymore.
“Now you are on the World Cup team. You have the opportunity to win games for India. You have the experience of international cricket. You are not a newbie anymore,” Gautam Gambhir said on Sportskeeda.
“You have tasted success in the Indian Premier League. Now you were picked in the World Cup team. You should win games for India. When you flourish, the world takes a note of your talent,” he added.
Gambhir, who is working as a mentor for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024, hopes that Samson’s captaincy will reflect in his batting in the T20 World Cup.
“He hasn’t done anything wrong in the batting, wicket-keeping and captaincy. I hope Samson’s captaincy reflects on his batting in the T20 World Cup,” he concluded.
