Footballers React To Superbowl 2024: Last night was the biggest sporting night in the US as the NFL (National Football League) 2023-24 season came to a close with the Superbowl 58. The final match of the season for the biggest American football league in the world saw Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs go for their second title in a row when they took over the San Francisco 49ers. The football (soccer) world has now reacted to it.
In a match that was decided in the final second of overtime with a touchdown, the Chiefs won the match 25-22 with a last-second touchdown. The 49ers took the lead with a touchdown and a field goal in the second quarter.
After halftime, which saw R&B star Usher perform in the legendary Superbowl half-time show, Kansas City made a comeback in a 10-0 3rd quarter. The match ultimately went to overtime at 19-19. While San Francisco only managed a field goal while attacking first for three points, the Kansas City Chiefs scored a touchdown in the final play of the game.
And the praise started showering on the Chiefs, who won their second Superbowl in a row after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles last season, and on their star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who won the Lombardi Trophy for the third time.
