Brazilian club Flamingo president Rodolfo Landim revealed the potential return of Neymar Jr. from his long-time injury. Landim also commented on the potential transfer of the star to Flamingo.
Flamingo President Reveals Neymar Return Date
Neymar has always wanted to play for the Brazilian club. Though he played for another Brazilian club, Santos, he always admired Flamingo.
Neymar once said:
“I’ve always said that I want to play for Flamengo, it’s obvious that it’s the second team in my heart because the first is Santos.”
As Neymar’s contract with Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal ends in 2025, a potential free-agent move to Flamingo is being discussed online. When this was asked to Landim, his response was surreal. Landim though admires Neymar as a player, sticks to the reality that Neymar’s salary is something Flamingo cannot afford.
‘Guys, Neymar earns more per month than two Flamengo salaries. People don’t realise the magnitude of things, the amounts involved. The unofficial information is that he earns 70 million per month. I think Neymar is absolutely outstanding, a top player in the world. We have to see how he recovers, but I think he’ll recover well because he’s a light player.
Landim also revealed that he had talked to Neymar regarding the return and that the star player would be fully fit by mid-September.
“I met him in the locker room and said that he thinks he’ll be back in full condition by mid-September.”
