Eric Garcia Injured: A big blow for Barcelona as their defender Eric Garcia has been ruled out of their UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona. The 23-year-old met an adductor muscle injury and was out in Barca’s big win against Sevilla.
This will be a problem for Barcelona, which also has their biggest matchup of the season as they are meeting Real Madrid in La Liga. With just 3 points ahead of their country rivals, the match could be a title decider, though it’s too early into the season.
The biggest worry is that Barcelona have their biggest fight of the season so far, against Real Madrid, coming on Sunday, October 26. Barca is hoping that the player will return before that.
Eric Garcia, who signed for Barcelona from Manchester City in 2021, despite spending the last season on loan with Girona, found his place in the Barcelona XI after Ansi Flick took the helm. The player who is so versatile and can take the role of a central defender, as well as a defensive midfielder, has made nine appearances for the Catalans so far this season.

Eric Garcia Injured: Who Will Replace Him Against Bayern?
Though it’s a bit worrying that Garcia is injured, things aren’t that bad at Camp Nou. Barcelona’s last match saw their prolific midfielder Gavi return after nearly a year of injury layoff. He might be used against Bayern if Flick looks for an all-in attack. Otherwise, if fully fit, Frankie de Jong might return to the defensive midfield.
