WWE’s 2024 Money in the Bank premium live event was broadcast live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, and it was Drew McIntyre who climbed the ladder, unlatched the briefcase, and became Mr Money in the Bank before cashing in his contract on the same night.
The 2024 Men’s Money in the Bank match had one of the most exciting line-ups in the history of this match, as Drew McIntyre took on Jey Uso, LA Knight, Chad Gable, Carmelo Hayes, and Andrade in the six-man ladder match for a world title opportunity at any point over the next year.
Following a brutal match, which is typical for a MitB bout, it was Jey Uso who stood on top of the ladder. The former Bloodline member was then thrown off the ladder by McIntyre, who then climbed the ladder to pull the briefcase down.

The 39-year-old became the 30th winner of the MitB contract, the 23rd winner of the men’s MitB match, and only the ninth person to have won the Money in the Bank and the Royal Rumble match in his career.
But this is not where the Scottish Psychopath’s night ended, as he had promised on this week’s Monday Night RAW that if he wins the MitB briefcase, he would cash it in on the same night.
Later in the show, Seth Rollins challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. During the contest, both men had their eyes on the rampway, anticipating Drew’s interruption. And that came after Rollins nearly pinned Priest for the title.
Drew McIntyre Failed His MiTB Cash-In
Cashing in his contract to make it a triple-threat match, Drew McIntyre immediately went after Seth Rollins before the champion interfered. Looking to hit his signature Claymore Kick on Damian Priest, McIntyre’s long-time rival CM Punk interfered and attacked the former WWE Champion.
Since this was now a triple-threat match, there was no disqualification. So Punk took Drew out of the ring and attacked him with a chair before sending him back into the ring and hitting him with the World Heavyweight Championship belt.
Damian Priest, who had been irritated by the interruptions in his previous world title defenses, looked mad but took advantage of the situation, hitting Drew McIntyre with the South of Heaven Chokeslam to pin him and retain his title.
Notably, there was no interruption from Priest’s faction Judgement Day in this match, which the champ had demanded but is a sign of cracks forming in the group.
More importantly, Drew McIntyre failed to win the title after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract, becoming only the fourth Superstar after Damien Sandow, Baron Corbin, and Austin Theory to fail their cash-in.
In the Women’s MitB ladder match of the night, Tiffany Straton defeated Chelsea Green, Iyo Sky, Lyra Valkyria, Naomi, and Zoey Stark.
