Diego Jota Announces Birth Of Third Child: Liverpool striker Diego Jota has announced the birth of his third child with his wife, Rute Cardoso. The two already have two children, born in 2021 and 2023, respectively.
Jota has been a big part of the squad for the last few seasons for The Reds. He has also been a regular for the Portuguese national team.

Having announced his partner’s pregnancy a few months back, Jota recently took to social media and posted a picture of him and his wife holding the hand of their newborn child. He also wrote the birthdate of the child, which is November 26, 2024.

While he has been a fixture for Liverpool for the past few seasons, Diego is currently out with an injury. During a Premier League game against Chelsea on October 20, he suffered a chest injury and had to be substituted.
Soon after Jota was put on the shelf, Liverpool manager Arne Slot suggested that the Portuguese star would return to action after the international break in mid-November.
“He will be back one or two weeks after the international break,” Slot said days after the 27-year-old’s injury.

However, the striker is yet to return to the field and is part of a big contingent of players in his club who are out with an injury. The likes of Allison Becker, Ibrahima Konate, and Federico Chiesa are out of action too.
Despite a lot of their players not being available, The Reds are in white-hot form. With four wins and a draw in their last five games, they are on top of the Premier League with 34 points in 3 games. Their most recent game was a 2-0 win against former title challengers Manchester City, who are in dismal form.
Even in Europe, Liverpool is firing on all cylinders. With five wins in five games, they are on top of the 36-team table in the UEFA Champions League.
