Dhruv Jurel WIll Dedicate India Cap To His Father: Wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel has said that whenever he makes his debut for team India, he will dedicate the moment to his father.
India will play the 3rd Test of the five-match series against England from 15 February in the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, Gujarat. With KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer not part of the squad, and rumors about dropping wicketkeeper KS Bharat from the playing 11, for lack of runs, it is very possible that Jurel gets his Test cap tomorrow.
Jurel, who plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, had a solid 2023, consistently scoring runs in red-ball cricket and even showcasing his talents for the Royals.
He was rewarded for his consistency with an inclusion into the national team for the first two Tests against England. While he did not play any of the two matches, he was retained as a part of the squad for the remaining three matches.
Visuals of Team India’s practice session in Rajkot were released by BCCI on February 13. In the video posted on social media, Dhruv Jurel impressed during an intense wicketkeeping session, with captain Rohit Sharma observing him.

In the video, the 23-year-old discussed how if he gets his India cap, he will dedicate it to his father, citing him as his guide and his hero.
“If I get the India cap, I would like to dedicate this to my father because he is my hero. Whenever I feel confused, I will talk to him. He guides me. He is my hero,” Dhruv Jurel told the BCCI.
The India-England Test series is currently tied at 1-1 after two matches. With The pitches and conditions of the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium being the most batter-friendly in this series, this might be the match with the highest chances of being a draw in this series.
