DC Unique Celebration To Tribute KL Rahul Baby: Delhi Capitals won what is certainly the best match in IPL 2025 so far, chasing down a 200+ run target with just one wicket left. Now, they have celebrated this win in a unique fashion, giving out a tribute to their star batter KL Rahul, who missed the match due to the birth of his firstborn child.
DC vs LSG was Match 4 of the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League and was played in the YSR ACA/VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Vishakhapatnam. The Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first.

In the first half of their inning, the Super Giants were flying. On the back of brilliant innings by Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, they had crossed the 160-run mark in 13 overs. However, from that point, Delhi pulled back, restricting Lucknow to 209/8 in 20 overs.
In response, the Capitals got off to a poor start, losing three wickets in two overs and for seven runs. Captain Axar Patel and Faf du Plessis stabilised the inning a bit, but both were dismissed till the seventh over with the score being 65/5.
From here three men rescued the Delhi Capitals. First. It was Tristan Stubbs, who scored 34 off 22 and gave the inning some legs to stand on. Toward the end, debutant Vipraj Nigam scored 39 in 15 and played a massive role in his side’s win. But it is this next man, who played the biggest role in DC’s win, that being Player of the Match Ashutosh Sharma.
Bought from the Punjab Kings in the mega auction, Ashutosh was brought in as an Impact Player in this match and ended up scoring 66 off 31. He even had to bat with the tail, hitting the match-winning six with just one wicket to spare.
While the Capitals did end up winning the match, they did, especially in the early proceedings, miss their star player KL Rahul, who missed this match due to the birth of his daughter.
The entire DC team, after their win, decided to give Rahul and his newborn a tribute by performing the ‘baby’ celebration in the locker room. Delhi Capitals posted a video on social media of the entire team and staff doing the celebration.

Rahul is expected to play DC’s next match, which will be on Sunday, March 30, against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Vizag.
