Great news! Dana White has just confirmed that there will be a second UFC London 2023 card. Additionally, a Fight Night event will be held in the UK at the O2 Arena on July 22.
Following the huge success of UFC 286, where Leon Edwards, a local fighter from England, successfully defended the welterweight title in the main event, the promotion is excited to return to London and put on another thrilling event for the fans.
Initially, UFC London 2023 was planned to be a numbered pay-per-view event. However, due to Edwards’ decision not to headline the card, the UFC had to switch to a Fight Night. Although there is no official confirmation yet on the matchups that will be featured on the card, fans are eagerly anticipating some potential fights.
As ‘Rocky’ has made it clear that he won’t be fighting soon after his last title defence, the UFC may consider heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall. The fighter from Manchester has expressed his interest in fighting in July and has even called out Marcin Tybura.
Paddy Pimblett and Arnold Allen would be the obvious choices, but unfortunately, Pimblett underwent surgery recently, making it unlikely for him to fight in July. Allen also suffered a unanimous decision loss against Max Holloway at UFC Kansas City, which ruled him out as well.
