Al-Ittihad took on Al-Nassr in a Saudi Pro League match on December 26. White the two teams are miles apart in the league table when it comes to points, the match-up was made special by the stars playing. While Al-Nassr had stars like Sadio Mane, Ayemeric Laporte, and CR7 on their side, Al-Ittihad had names like Ngolo Kante, Fabinho, and Benzema.
Apart from the sheer star power of the match, the result was as expected as the second-placed Al-Nassr thrashed the sixth-placed Al-Ittihad 5-2. Cristiano bagged two goals for his side from the spot, but it was Sadio Mane’s two late goals that sealed the match.
Ronaldo’s second penalty, taken in the 68th minute, was caused by Benzema. The French striker kicked an opposition player inside his box.
