Cricketers React To Pahalgam Terror Attack: Several cricketers, current and former, and people related to the sport have taken to social media to express grief over and address the recent terror attack that took place in the tourist town of Pahalgam in the Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory of India.
In the afternoon/evening of Tuesday, April 22, several gunmen from a known terrorist organisation shot tourists in the open meadows of the Baisaran region, also called “mini Switzerland”. 28 people lost their lives in the attack, and the whole nation has been left stunned.
Following such an event, it is natural for people to take to social media and express their grief over the whole ordeal, wishing all victims well, and demand justice by the capture of the culprits.
Cricketers React To Pahalgam Terror Attack
Indian Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma, veteran batter Virat Kohli, and star batter Shubman Gill took to social media to express their sorrow for the attack.
Even the cricketers’ spouses, namely Virat’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Rohit’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, also posted about the incident on their social media.
Many former Indian Cricket Team players, including Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, Parthiv Patel, Anil Kumble, and current national team head coach Gautam Gambhir, also shared their saddened reactions.
Even former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez took to social media to show grief over the recent terror attack.
