Madrid is in festive mode as their giant club Real Madrid landed the biggest star in the young generation of football, Kylian Mbappe at Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos who have been in the hunt for the magician from France, got their wish approved just before Euro 2024. On July 16, they presented him to the world, wearing the legendary No. 9 jersey, that was once worn by Brazilian Ronaldo and CR7 (for a brief period).
Not only Real Madrid and their supporters were happy witnessing the occasion, but also Kylian Mbappe himself. The Frenchman has been a Real Madrid fan growing up and has dreamt of playing for the club ever since.
“Since I was a kid I had one dream, to play here. Being here means a lot to me … Now I want to achieve another dream, being at the level of this club, the best in the world. I can say one thing: I’ll give everything for this club and this badge,” said Mbappe at the presentation ceremony that made the 80,000 spectators at Bernabeu go wild.
Courtois Says Real Will Win Trophies With Mbappe
Now his teammate at Real Madrid, Thibaut Courtois responded about Mbappe’s transfer. According to him, finding a way to play with ‘one of the best players in the world’ would help them win a lot of trophies. Courtois was talking to TUDN
“Mbappe is one of the best players in the world and in the end, it’s better for him to be on your team than against you. He is a player who can make a difference as we have with Bellingham, with Vinicius, and adding Mbappe to that will only help us.”
“We will be even stronger with him. Mbappe has been added to our WhatsApp group chat. We just have to find a way to play with him and help him, and I think he’s going to help us win a lot of trophies and I’m sure it’s going to be a great year, he’s going to shine, he’s going to score a lot of goals and help us win trophies.”
With Mbappe, Vinicious Jr, Bellingham, and Rodrygo in their attack, Real Madrid is trying to replay their legendary Galactico period with a better outcome.
