It’s been just a year since Jude Bellingham landed at the mighty Santiago Bernabeu. He didn’t need any settling time, as the 21-year-old enthralled Real Madrid with his super moves, goals, and charisma. He quickly told the world that he was star material.
Signing in last summer for Real Madrid, Bellingham was quick to find himself on the scoresheet. He broke the record of the GOAT Cristiano Ronaldo by becoming the player to score the most goals in the first 15 games for Real Madrid. While Ronaldo had 13 goals on his name, which itself is extraordinary, Bellingham scored 14. He also won the Kopa Trophy and the Golden Boy Award in 2023.
Now, with his teammate Vinicius Jr., Jude is in strong contention for the 2024 Ballon d’Or. The youngster scored 23 goals in all competitions, which helped Real Madrid clinch the UEFA Champions League and La Liga this year. His national side, England, reached the Euro 2024 final.
Carlo Ancelotti Hails the Genetics of Bellingham
Talking to the reporters, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was asked about the incredible impact Bellingham had on Real Madrid in his very first year. Ancelotti admitted that he was surprised. The Italian gave credit to Bellingham’s genetics.
“It was a surprise, but the merit is in his genetics. At only 21 years old, he has shown character and great passion, and he also has genetics in his favour. The champion is a champion because of his genetics; training certainly helps, but above all it’s about genetics.”
