Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 Schedule Announced: Reports emerged earlier today that the opening match of the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played in the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia in November 2024.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is one of, if not the most looked forward to Test series in the world. The series between India and Australia is set to be played in the Australian summer of 2024-25.
The last time this series was played, it was hosted by India. India won the four-match series 2-1 with Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin being named co-PLayer of the Tournament.

The five-Test series will kick off on November 22, with the last Test being played from January 3-7. Here are the dates and venues of all matches in the 2024-25 Border Gavaskar Trophy –
- 1st Test: Nov 22-26, Perth
- 2nd Test: Dec 6-10, Adelaide (D/N)
- 3rd Test: Dec 14-18, Brisbane
- 4th Test: Dec 26-30, Melbourne
- 5th Test: Jan 3-7, Sydney

The second match in the series will be the only Day/Night affair of the series and be played in the Adelaide Oval. The third match will be played in BRisbane’s Gabba, which is known as a fortress in Australian cricket that has been breached by India and West Indies in the last few years.
The fourth match, the Boxing Day Test will be played in the world-famous Melbourne Cricket Ground. The last match will be played in January 2025 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
This particular stadium has seen Australia play four matches, with the hosts winning all four. India played a match here during the 2018-19 tour but not during the 2020-21 tour.
Before India, Pakistan will visit Australia for three ODIs and three T20Is, with one of the ODIs to be played in Perth as well.
