Bellingham Showers Praise on Kylian Mbappe: Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid set Manchester City ablaze at the Santiago Bernabeu to march into the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League on February 20. Madrid won the match 3-0 (6-3 on aggregate), and all three have come from the boots of the French superstar.
Real Madrid dominated the English champions from start to finish in the match. The dangerous attacking quadruple of Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Bellingham cracked the city defense multiple times. It posed a threat at their goalpost every time they made a move.
Mbappe scored right at the start of the game, just 4 minutes after the initial whistle, to give Real Madrid the lead. Kylian Mbappe beautifully chipped the long ball he received over the top of misplaced Ederson. From then on, the mighty Whites took over the match. Real increased the lead after half an hour through Mbappe and when the half-time whistle was blown, Madrid was already on a comfortable aggregate lead of 5-2.
Mbappe scored again in the 61st minute to put the match to bed. City’s goal of relief was scored by Nico Gonzalez in the extra time.
With the win, Real Madrid qualified for the UCL Round of 16 while Manchester City’s run in the league has come to an end.
Bellingham Showers Praise on Kylian Mbappe
After the Real Madrid vs Mancester Ciy match, Real Madrid’s English midfielder Jude Bellingham lauded Mbappe with praise.
“You know when Kylian gets the ball in the areas he likes on the pitch, he is going to be dangerous. Left foot or right foot. He scored a few different types of goals today. It is incredible what he has done in his career. I know he had a slow start here and took time getting used to life here. Now he is flying, and it’s so good to see,” Bellingham said.
