Becky Lynch Wins World Championship: WWE Superstar Becky Lynch won the company’s Women’s World Championship by winning a battle royal in the main event of this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
Rhea Ripley announced last week that she will be vacating the title she has been holding on to for over a year after getting injured in a backstage scrap on the post-WrestleMania 40 episode of RAW.
This week, on the April 22 episode, the main event was a 14-women battle royal to decide the new champion. While the likes of Shayna Bazsler, Candice LeRae, and Chelsea Green had an outside chance of walking away the victor, three women were clear favorites to win this one – Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, and Becky Lynch.

Speaking of Lynch, she lost to Ripley at WrestleMania 40 in a competitive match, but Rhea’s injury provided her another shot at the title. It is a shot at the title to Liv Morgan as well, who is the one who was brawling with Rhea Ripley backstage when the champ got injured.
After 20 minutes or so, the field whittled down to the three favorites. Becky has previously been put through the announce table by Jax but made a comeback. Nia Jax was the first to be eliminated from the final three as the other two teamed up to throw her out of the ring.

With Morgan and Lynch battling on the apron, Liv went for her ‘Oblivion’ finisher but Becky countered that and eliminated Morgan to become the new Women’s Champion.
This was the third time Liv Morgan finished runner-up in a major battle royal in just over a year. In the 2023 and 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble she was the last person to be eliminated as well.
Becky Lynch is now a seven-time World Champion in WWE. It remains to be seen who will be her first challenger and whether she will defend the title at the upcoming Premier Live Event, Backlash.
