BCCI Awards 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to conduct their annual award ceremony for the 2023-24 season. It will take place during the ongoing IND vs ENG T20I series.
The BCCI annual award made its last year after a gap of four years. In the BCCI awards, the board honors and acknowledges the top performers of the Indian team of the past year.
Two award winners are already known: fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be getting the Polly Umrigar Award for the best men’s international cricketer for 2023-24, and opener Smriti Mandhana has been picked to receive the corresponding award in the women’s category.
Further, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar will be receiving the Colonel CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. This Lifetime Achievement Award was first handed out in 1994 in the honour of India’s first captain CK Nayudu. Tendulkar, who retired in 2013 at the leading international run-scorer and also holding the same record in ODIs and Tests, will be the 31st recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Off-spinning all-rounder Ravi Ashwin, who recently retired from international cricket during the BGT 2024/25 as India’s second-highest Test wicket-taker, will be given a special award by the BCCI for his illustrious career that spanned 15 years.
Other known award winners are Sarfaraz Khan (Best International Debut Award Men’s), Asha Sobhana (Best International Debut Women’s), and Mumbai allrounder Tanush Kotian (Best Performance in BCCI Domestic Trophy).
