AUS vs IND Match Highlights And Report-T20 WC: First things first, India thumped Australia by 24 runs in their last Super 8 encounter to progress to the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. India won all three of their Super 8 matches, while Australia lost two, this one, and against Afghanistan. India will face England in semi-final 2 on June 27 in Guyana.
Coming to Australia and Afghanistan’s qualification scenario. Both teams have two points each and Afghanistan will play Bangladesh in their last Super 8 game. So the equation for Rashid Khan’s team is straightforward: beat Bangladesh, or if the match gets washed out, then they go through to the semis; if they lost to Bangladesh, then Australia advance.
Talking about this game, captain Rohit Sharma put India in the front early on with his thunderous knock of 92 runs in 41 balls. Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya’s contributions took India to 205.
India were given a scare by Travis Head (once again) as the left-hander blasted 76 off 43. But this time, Jasprit Bumrah got Head with a slower ball and India capitalized to secure the match.

Rohit tore into Cummins as well for a 15-run over and reached his half-century in only 19 balls, the fastest of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Rohit kept going and got into the 90s. However, Starc returned to castle him with a yorker. Hardik and Dube scored 55 runs combined as India crossed 200.
