Rajasthan Royals will test their tusks with Sunrisers Hyderabad at Chepauk today. The winners will qualify for a fistfight with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the final on May 26.
While SRH is coming after a terrible loss to the mighty KKR in qualifier 1, RR sent RCB home in the eliminator. When the last teams faced each other in the league games this season, SRH had a nerve-wracking 1 run win to the pink side. But today, all that matters is who is going to pull it off at night. And R. Ashwin says he is ready for the war.

In the video that RR posted on X, Ashwin reminds us that he has always done well in his homeland, not just with the bowl but with the bat as well.
“Chennai is a very special place. For anybody, their home is a special place. And that’s one place where I have always done very well. Also, I had a few interesting batting stints also when I played in Chennai the last time, Ashwin said.
The legendary spinner also expects the Chennai crowd to chant Halla Bol, which is RR’s iconic slogan in the IPL.
“So yeah, I am looking forward to it; there is nothing like playing in front of that crowd. And I am sure we will get Halla Bol and Nalla Bol support. So, it’s going to be a very interesting game. Can we bring our A-game? Can we be tactically superior to them? Those are the questions we need to answer,” Ashwin added.
Ashwin has a terrific record at Chepauk. The spinning maestro has 50 wickets in the IPL so far in 42 matches with an incredible economy of 6.15.
Chepauk is a wonderland for spinners, and that’s what RR is going to capitalize on. With two of the world’s best spinners, Ashwin and Chahal, the team from the pink city will try to tie down Sunrisers power-hitters before rising.
