Arsenal Wants 45 Million Euros For Zinchenko: Arsenal has named their price for defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, as the London club is looking for 45 million euros to offload the star.
Ainchenko, who has been a regular in the starting XI in the last two years for the Gunners, has been a big part of Arsenal’s most successful team in two decades.
The left-back was signed from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and has been a regular in that position for the side for two consecutive seasons. In his first year with the club, Zinchenko and Arsenal finished second in the league behind his former team City, and they might be headed for the same finish to the season this time as well.
The Ukrainian is part of the new breed of versatile full-backs who can be played in a number of positions on the field. In his two seasons and 67 appearances for Arsenal, Oleksandr has been moved up and down the left flank, even playing as a left midfielder on occasion.
Real Madrid, who are very close to winning La Liga and are in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League, are eyeing Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, who is one of the most interesting young players in the world.
In turn, Bayern are looking for a replacement for Davies, who is expected to leave Germany this season. The Bavarian club now has its eyes on Zinchenko.
Arsenal Wants 45 Million Euros For Zinchenko
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal has named the asking price for Zinchenko to be 45 million euros, which is a 10 million euro hike on what they bought him for from Manchester City.
Zinchenko’s contract with the North London-based club will expire in the summer of 2026, so the club is in no hurry to sell him this summer. So naming the price for their regular defender means that they wouldn’t mind losing him to a European rival for that price.
Arsenal have their eyes on a potential replacement for Zinchenko, as Real Madrid’s Ferland Mendy has been linked with the Gunners along with Liverpool and Manchester United.
As for Arsenal in the current season, they are at the top of the Premier League table with 80 points in 35 matches. Man City is in second with 79 points but has played one fewer game. To win the league, not only will Arsenal be looking to win all three remaining games, but City will also lose one of their remaining four.
