Arsenal Fans Want To Pay More For Declan Rice: Following Arsenal’s incredible 4-3 victory over Luton Town in the Premier League this week, the Gunners fans have been singing praises of Declan Rice, who scored the winning goal in stoppage time. These fans now want to pay Rice’s former club West Ham 25 Million Euros more for his services.
Arsenal held onto their first position in the Premier League after 15 following their memorable 4-3 win over Luton. The match saw both sides go neck to neck with both being on three goals each at the end of 90. In the seventh minute of stoppage time, Martin Odegaard’s sublime cross found Rice in the box, who jumped higher than his marker and headed the ball into the bottom corner to confirm his side’s victory.
Since having been bought by Arsenal for 105 million Euros from West Ham in the 2023 summer transfer window, the Englishman has been one of the finest midfielders in the league. While the price for his services was questioned by many at the time of his signing, Rice has turned out to be one of the best signings of the season, with his inclusion making Arsenal even more of a title contender this year round.
Arsenal Fans Want To Pay More For Declan Rice
His performances at Arsenal have been so impactful this season that Arsenal fans have declared that the 105 million Euros paid for Rice was not enough for West Ham and that The Gunners underpaid for the 24-year-old’s services.
With that in mind, some Arsenal fans have decided to set up a fundraiser on GoFundMe to raise 25 million Euros to be paid to West Ham. The description of the fundraiser reads –
“In light of the unfortunate robbery of West Ham United. We are asking Arsenal fans to come together to raise funds for West Ham United to compensate for the underpayment of Declan Rice. It has become evident in the last 15 weeks that Edu and Arsenal were the beneficiaries of a £25,000,000 underpayment to West Ham United.”
While the fundraiser has been able to raise a whopping 72 Euros till now, payments made in this manner will not be applicable towards an extension to a signing fee. But the gesture itself is proof enough of how much Declan Rice is being cherished by the Arsenal faithful.
