Arman Tsurakyun Defeats Beneil Dariush: Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) latest Fight Night, dubbed Dariush vs Tsarukyan, saw the namesake fighters duke it out in a Lightweight bout, with the winner looking to raise their stock in the weight class and eye a future championship match.
As per Arman Tsurakyun Defeats Beneil Dariush, Beniel Dariush took on Arman Tsarukyan in the main event of the December 2 UFC Fight Night. Dariush, the Iranian-American fighter, was ranked fourth in the Lightweight rankings and a win would push him to the top three, maybe even top two.

Tsarukyan on the other hand, was ranked eighth before the fight and eyed a top 5 spot in the weight class. The fight started and both fighters were cautiously attacking, throwing punches and low kicks. Both of them connected about half of their strikes but nothing to faze the opponent in the first minute of the five-round fight.

But right at the one-minute mark, Tsarukyun hit Dariush with a two-punch combo, which led to Beleil shifting his defending fists to either side of his face. As for the rest of the night, on the main card – Dustin Stolzfuz defeated Punahele Soriano in the second round via submission with a rear-naked choke. Joaquim Silva defeated Clay Guida in a Lightweight bout via decision. Sean Brady defeated Kelvin Gastelum via submission with a Kimura. Deiveson Figueiredo defeated Rob Font via decision in a Bantamweight match. In the co-main event, 12th-ranked Lightweight Jalin Turner knocked out 13th-ranked Bobby Green.
