Ambati Rayudu Wants Rohit Sharma To Play For CSK: Former Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians batter Ambati Rayudu reckons that Rohit Sharma should play for CSK in the future.
Since grabbing the reigns of Mumbai Indians in 2013, Rohit Sharma has captained the side to five IPL titles, making the franchise the joint-most successful team in league history, alongside their arch-rivals the Super Kings.
Rayudu, along with Rohit Sharma, is the most successful player in the history of IPL in the sense that he has won the most trophies as a player with six. The Andhra-based player won three trophies each with MI and CSK. He retired following his sixth IPL win and third with CSK after the Super Kings trumped GT in the final last season
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, who has led MI to five titles, has been stripped of the captaincy, which has been given to a returning Hardik Pandya.

With the era of The Hitman’s captaincy in Mumbai seemingly coming to an end, Rayudu believes that the Indian national team captain should write a new chapter in his IPL history and move to CSK.
Ambati Rayudu Wants Rohit Sharma To Play For CSK
During a recent discussion with News 24, Ambati Rayudu had this to say about Rohit’s IPL future –
“Rohit can play for another 5-6 years. I want to see Rohit in CSK going forward. He has played so long for Mumbai Indians. If he has to captain, he can do it anywhere in the world. But it’s up to him.”
He continued –
He has played so many years for MI and won them titles. So if he goes there, why not? Rohit has earned the right to take that call. It’s his call on whether or not he wants to lead or not.”
With MS Dhoni’s retirement looming over for years now, Rohit Sharma can prove to be a decent replacement to lead the Chennai-based franchise to a few more IPL titles. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya has also proved himself to be a solid captain, allowing the CSK/MI rivalry to roll on in case Rohit decides to switch sides.
