Ambati Rayudu Mocks RCB For Eliminator Loss vs RR: Former Indian batter Ambati Rayudu has taken a shot at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru after the franchise’s loss in the Eliminator of IPL 2024 against the Rajasthan Royals.
RCB took on RR in the Eliminator in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The team from Pink City won the toss and chose to bowl first. RCB lost their captain, Faf du Plessis, in the powerplay and Virat Kohli in the eighth over. The team could neither accelerate nor build a long partnership.
The duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Avesh Khan tore through Bengaluru’s middle order, while Trent Boult bowled a very economical spell to restrict the Royal Challengers to 172 in 20 overs.

In response, RR kept losing regular wickets too, but stable innings by Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag were enough. So even though the wickets of Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel fell at crucial junctures, the Royals won the match comfortably at the end.
RCB’s incredible journey in IPL 2024 has ended. The team was considered out of the tournament at the start of the month after losing seven of their eight matches at that point. But then, six wins in a row brought them to the playoffs.
RCB played their last league game against the Chennai Super Kings, with the former needing to win by 18 runs to finish in the top four. After they did win the game by 27 runs, the whole team, naturally, celebrated wildly.
Ambati Rayudu Mocks RCB For Eliminator Loss vs RR
But someone did not take RCB’s celebration kindly, that being former Chennai Super Kings player Ambati Rayudu, who is now a commentator for Star Sports.
As Ambati Rayudu Mocks RCB For Eliminator Loss vs RR, Following Bengaluru’s Eliminator loss, Rayudu took a shot at RCB for celebrating a win in their previous match against CSK. Rayudu said,
“RCB will have to understand that you can’t win the IPL trophy by aggressive celebrations. You can’t achieve success by beating the Chennai Super Kings. You need a proper team and a good performance in the playoffs to clinch the trophy.”
It seems that Ambati did not take RCB’s celebration against his former team lightly. So much so that he had to hit back at the Royal Challengers after their elimination from the tournament.
As for the Rajasthan Royals, they will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2, the winner of which will face the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Final. Both Qualifier 2 and the Final will be played in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 24 and 26, respectively.
