All Records Vaibhav Suryavanshi Broke In RR Vs GT: Rajasthan Royals’ 14-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history in the recent match against the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025. Match 47 of the 2025 season of the Indian Premier League saw RR take on GT at their home ground of Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, as Suryavanshi was named the Player of the Match for scoring a blistering century.
The young lad from Samastipur, Bihar, born during the 2011 ODI World Cup, was playing only his third match in the IPL. He became the youngest player to become available for and then be bought in the IPL auction at the age of 13. Soon after turning 14, he became the youngest player to make his debut in the best T20 league in the world.

However, his antics last night shattered several records that might never be broken in the IPL. The first one is pretty obvious. After becoming the youngest debutant in league history, Vaibhav has now become the youngest centurion in the history of not only this league but also T20 cricket as a whole at 14 years and 32 days, scoring Manish Pandey’s record by over five years.
Now come the records that aren’t related to his age. First, this is the fastest hundred in IPL by an Indian. This 17-year-old record, which itself is older than Vaibhav Suryavanshi, was held by Yusuf Pathan, who scored a 37-ball ton for Rajasthan against the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2008. Vaibhav scored his in just 35 deliveries.
Not only that, but this was also the joint-fastest century by an Indian ever, as Rohit Sharma scored a 55-ball-100 against Sri Lanka in 2017.
This was also the second-fastest century in league history as a whole, with the fastest being in the name of Chris Gayle, who dismantled Pune Warriors India while playing for RCB in IPL 2013, scoring a hundred in just 30 deliveries on the way to scoring 175 runs.
The teenager also hit the most sixes by an Indian in an IPL inning. In a highlight reel-type inning, the youngster hit 11 sixes and 7 fours. While several overseas players have hit 11 or more 6s in an inning, no Indian had scored more than 10 before, with Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Shubman Gill having done that.

We can now discuss the several Rajasthan Royals records broken in general during a scintillating RR chase yesterday. The opening partnership between Vaibhav and Yashasvi Jaiswal was worth 166 runs, scored in just 12 overs. This is the highest partnership in Royals history in the IPL.
The two young batters, one a decade younger than the other, also scored 87 runs in the powerplay, which is the largest score in the first six overs for RR in the IPL. Suryavanshi’s 100 was obviously the fastest in RR history and was also the fastest 50 in IPL this season, scored in only 17 deliveries.
And finally, Rajasthan chased the 210-run target in 15.5 overs. The result is the fastest chase of a 200+ run target in league history.
It is clear that Vaibhav Suryavanshi has a bright future ahead. And while the Rajasthan Royals might be all but out of contention for the playoffs in IPL 2025. However, last night’s win is a great sign for things to come for this franchise.
