However, Harry failed to impress many when he was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in last year’s auction for a massive sum, as he scored just 190 runs across the tournament despite scoring a century.

2) Tristan Stubbs – ₹ 50 Lakh
Another foreign, young, and promising batter, this time from South Africa. Tristan Stubbs too has played franchise cricket around the world and is yet to perform in the IPL.
In the early phases of his international career, Stubbs is yet another player who will be an investment towards the future of the franchise.
3) Ricky Bhui – ₹ 20 Lakh
Ricky Bhui has been a journeyman batter in the IPL and has represented multiple franchises. A former U-19 cricketer, Bhui has a decent domestic record which includes several First Class and List-A centuries

4) Kumar Kushagra – ₹ 7.2 Crore
Joining his U-19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull is Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra. Promising talent in the domestic circuit, Kushagra was most recently the sixth-highest run-getter in the 2023 Deodhar trophy.
While it may seem that he is one for the future for DC, his enormous price tag and high interest from several franchises mean that, as always, IPL teams and scouts know much more about these players than we do.
5) Rasikh Dar – ₹ 20 Lakh

The Aussie pace bowler has been bought as a replacement for Delhi’s first-choice foreign fast bowler, Lockie Ferguson. Having represented his nation in all three formats, Jhye has barely played in the IPL, playing 3 matches for the Mumbai Indians in 2021 and taking 3 wickets.

A pace-bowling all-rounder from Haryana, Sumit Kumar is a proper all-rounder, in the sense that he can bat and score some decent runs coming down the order and can bowl a full quota of overs.
With a strike rate of 135 in domestic T20s, he has taken 43 wickets in 45 matches in the format as well.

8) Shai Hope – ₹ 75 Lakh
Shai Hope is the wicketkeeper and a top-order batter for the West Indies national team. A possible replacement for David Warner in the squad as well as a replacement keeper, this will be Shai’s first season in the IPL.
With a better portfolio in ODIs for his national team, Hope does have buckets of experience playing county cricket in several leagues around the world.
9) Swastik Chikara – ₹ 20 Lakh
