Pro Kabaddi League 2024: Teams For The Playoffs Confirmed; Who Will Face Who For The PKL Title?

All PKL 2024 Playoff Teams And Matches: After 10 weeks of action, the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 playoff stages are upon us. The six top-finishing teams in the league will battle it out across three days and five matches to determine the winner of the 11th season of the second-most-popular sports franchise league in India.

Unlike the IPL, where the top four out of 10 teams make it to the playoffs, the PKL has 12 teams, and six make it to the final stages of the competition. It came down to the last week of competition to determine the six playoff teams, but we now have the sides who will continue their quest for the title.

But before we discuss the teams and the matchups, we need to lay out how the PKL playoffs work. In Eliminators 1 and 2, the 3rd-ranked team will face the sixth-ranked, while the fourth-ranked team will face the fifth-ranked. Then, the winner of Eliminator 1 will face the No. 1 ranked side, while the winner of Eliminator 2 will face the No. 2 ranked side for a place in the final.

So, let us meet our contestants. Haryana Steelers have made it to the playoffs for the second season in a row. This time, however, they finished on top of the league with 16 wins, six losses, and 84 points in 22 games. The second team to have made it to the semi-finals is former champions Dabang Delhi, with 13 wins, five losses, four draws, and 81 points.

The team that finished third in the UP Yoddhas with 13 wins, six losses, three draws, and 79 points. Three-time champions Patna Pirates finished fourth with 13 wins, seven losses, two draws, and 77 points.

U Mumba finished fifth in the league, leapfrogging to this spot on the final day of the league, as they have 12 wins, eight losses, two draws, and 71 points. Finally, the inaugural champions, the Jaipur Pink Panthers, round off the top six with 12 wins, eight losses, two draws, and 70 points.

So, we now know the line-up for the two Eliminator matches. These matches will be played on December 26 in the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune, the home of the playoffs.

The first Eliminator will see third-ranked UP Yoddhas face the sixth-ranked Jaipur Pink Panthers, while the second Eliminator will see fourth-ranked Patna Pirates face the fifth-ranked U Mumba. In the semis on December 27, the winner of the Yoddhas vs Pink Panthers match will take on the top-ranked Haryana Steelers; then, the winner of the Pirates vs Mumba match will face Dabang Delhi. The winners of these two matches will face off in the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 final on December 29.
