Taskin Ahmed has found some form coming into the 2023 World Cup. He took nine wickets in his four appearances in the recent Asia Cup. As far as ODIs are concerned, he has taken 21 wickets in 10 innings in 2023.
Taskin, along with pacer Mustafizue Rehman, will play a vital role in an otherwise spin-heavy side that is Bangladesh, especially when they are expected to find some pace-friendly pitches.
3) Trent Boult
Trent Boult makes his return to the New Zealand side right before the World Cup after a year of not being a centrally contracted player in his country. The 34-year-old left-arm pacer is a beast in the powerplay overs. His ability to chop down opposition batting orders right at the start of the innings is second to none.
